DMR Network Infrastructures

Selex ES is one of the leading providers of digital private mobile radio systems based on the ETSI TS 102 361 DMR standard, and the company has its own family of DMR products called ECOS-D (Enhanced COmmunications System-Digital). With this product range, Selex ES is leveraging decades of experience in the development of analog and digital simulcast radio communications systems, and can proudly look back on over 4,400 ECOS radio systems that the company has already produced.

The ECOS-D radio system can be operated in the 4m, 2m and 70cm wavelength range as either a fixed-location base station (single site repeater) or in conjunction with other ECOS-D radios, as part of an interconnected network. The interconnected network can be realized as a simulcast, cellular or hybrid network.

Depending upon customer requirements, the operating mode can be flexibly configured via the software to operate in conventional (Tier II) mode or in trunking mode (Tier III).
